Each day I create one small, quick and loose stitching - they capture my feelings, mood and the moment in time in which they are created.

One stitching is created each day throughout the month. Image number one shows all stitchings displayed in a calendar format, whereby the first column represents Monday, the second Tuesday and so on. The first stitching in row one therefore represents the 1st day of the month and shows the stitching created on that day (and so on).

The stitchings can be presented either in a calendar grid format (as in image one) or in towers of daily stitch (image three). Both methods of display present a visual representation of the movement of time. Each level of the towers (or row of the calendar grid) is created from seven daily stitchings (one week). Each week gets stacked on top of the next. As the layers are combined the towers (and grid) start to show how days morph into weeks, and weeks morph into months. Image three presents 12 months of daily stitch drawings – the tower on the left shows the stitchings from November and December 2023 (with the 1stNov at the bottom and the 31st Dec at the top). The second tower brings together the stitchings from January, February and March 2024, the third April and May, the fourth tower shows the stitchings from June, July and August and the tower on the right shows the stitchings from September and October 2024.
